This afternoon, accompanied by Secretary General Mr. Tan Kee Hian, Assistant Treasurer Mr. Haniff and representatives from joint venture partner EXSIM, MABA President Dato’ Seri Lee Tian Hock paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Putrajaya for a meeting with YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports.
During the meeting, Dato’ Seri President presented to the Minister the core philosophy, future roadmap and current progress of MABA’s redevelopment plan. The Minister expressed her admiration for MABA’s ambitious vision – the upcoming construction of the two iconic 60-storey towers, MABA SUITEZ, which will mark a historic milestone for Malaysian basketball.
YB Hannah Yeoh also expressed her delight at the President’s commitment that MABA will achieve financial self sufficiency within six years, becoming a financially sustainable sports association. This achievement is rare even on a global stage and represents a pioneering model.
With the blessings and encouragement of the Minister, MABA will continue to move forward with confidence, determined to deliver a glorious new chapter for Malaysian basketball!
大马篮总领导层拜会体育部长 展示重建宏图
今日下午，在秘书长陈其贤、副财政Mr Haniff以及联营发展商EXSIM代表的陪同下，本会总会长拿督斯里李典和前往布城青体部大厦，与青年及体育部长YB杨巧双进行会晤。
会中，总会长向部长详细汇报了大马篮总重建计划的核心理念、未来规划与现阶段进展。部长对本会雄心万丈的蓝图表示高度赞赏，即将拔地而起的两栋六十层高MABA SUITEZ，象征着大马篮坛迈入新纪元的里程碑。
杨部长亦对总会长立下的承诺深感欣慰：大马篮总将在六年后实现自给自足，成为一个经济独立、财务稳健、无后顾之忧的体育总会。毕竟，这在全球体育组织中亦属罕见，极具开创性与示范意义。
