It is with deep sadness that we express our heartfelt condolences on the demise of Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Ir. Chan Ah Chye, the former President of the Malaysia Basketball Association (1985-1988), at age 78. His leadership and dedication to the sport have left an indelible mark on the basketball community in Malaysia. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Ir. Chan Ah Chye was a visionary whose immense contributions helped shape the future of Malaysian basketball, inspiring countless players and enthusiasts.
Our president, Dato’ Seri Lee Tian Hock, visited Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Ir. Chan Ah Chye in February last year to pay respects and update him on the latest happenings and future plans of MABA.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy will continue to live and linger on in the hearts and minds of all who know him and in the sport he loved so dearly.
