Fruitful Taiwan Training Stint

Dec 13, 2022

The Malaysian National Women’s Team has recently completed a 16-day game and training tour in Taiwan.

This was an extremely beneficial trip to help players implement the style of play that has recently been introduced by Australian head coach Tracy York.

“I was able to play the whole squad and see where each individual was in relation to their development and areas of strength and areas to improve on.” coach Tracy said.

“We played 10 games against high schools, universities and WSBL Pro League teams. We had many games that became time-and-score learning opportunities that are hard to get from regular training.”

During this 16-day game and training tour, the national team played against Jinou Girls High School, Pumen High School, Shih Hsin University, Nanhu High School, National Taiwan Normal University, Taiyuan (WSBL team) and the University of Taipei, and the overall record is 6W4L.

“We thank MABA and the organizers in Taiwan for putting together the schedule and providing the excellent opportunity.”
