PDRM hold off Johor late for a 91-84 win in the men’s Group A showdown, punching the last ticket to the final four of the 62nd MABA/MJ Health Agong Cup National Basketball Championship 2022.
PDRM, who finished second in Group A with 3-1 record, will face Malacca, who have a 100% record in Group B in the semi-final, which is a rematch of the 2012 Final, while Negri Sembilan, who are vying for their fifth straight title, take on Perak in the other semi-final matchup.
Negeri Sembilan also hold off Selangor late for a 81-76 win, clinched Group A after winning all four of the Group A games. Meanwhile, Malacca beat Penang 79-64 for their 4th consecutive victory to win Group B.
In the women’s division, Selangor beat Malacca 75-59 for their third straight win. Johor snapped a two games losing streak by thrashing lowly Penang 80-43.
